Nasal polyps review
The polyps are caused by chronic sinus infections, or frequent inflammations, such as allergies. Nasal polyps can impair a person’s quality of life more than perennial allergic rhinitis. However, if underlying cause is not addressed, benefits of surgery may be short-lived and new polyps may simply develop. These sprays or drops can help reduce the size of nasal polyps and prevent polyps from growing back after surgery. The most common medical treatment is a corticosteroid spray, which shrinks the polyps over several weeks. As they grow they eventually look like grapes on a stem. This allows doctors to spot presence of numerous polyps if they exist.
