April holidays review

April can, depending upon the lunar cycle, be the least cruel month of the year. There is a great number of April holidays nowadays. Italian Easter celebrations start during the week before Easter and continue through Easter Monday, La Pasquetta, a national holiday and a day where you may find some very interesting festivals. Then the calendar changed but some people still celebrated the new year on the first of April. Many writers suggest that the restoration of January 1 as New Year’s Day in the 16th century was responsible for the creation of the holiday, but this theory does not explain earlier references.
